Open a command prompt in the selected folder

By default if we run a command prompt it will be active on the location of the Windows username that is being used. To move the location we will use the cd (change directory) command followed by the name of the drive or folder.

Can be seen how busy if we have to navigate every time you want to run the command in the command prompt on the files contained in a particular folder. That’s why until there are tips to add the command prompt option in the context menu (menu that appears right click) permanently.

cmd - command prompt klik folder

But actually we do not need to do that because Windows itself already provides a feature running the command prompt on the folder you want, just rarely people know it

So what do we really need to do? Trivial as it turns out, when you will hit the right click button on the mouse then hold down the Shift key. Later will appear a new menu with the name Open command window here, already that’s it.

klik kanan + shift windows

Then a command prompt window will appear that uses the folder’s location as its active directory
